We need to begin looking exactly at what props we are going to include for our piece and where we will be able to get them from. This will help us organise how we are including these props and what sort of ones we need to get.
We will definitely be using a gun in our piece for when Pete and Sebastian first meet and also for a fight scene. This is because guns are a very popular prop used in action films so to help make the genre obvious we will use it. We may need to use two as one would be for Pete and the other would be for the guard because for a fit scene we would need both of them to have guns for it to make sense. We just want a basic plastic gun that's black so its cheap and fake but looks real in the shots.
We want to use some mobile phones in the film opening for Sebastian and Pete to communicate when they aren't together. We want to use recent IPhones to show the updated technology and what sort of time this film takes place which is the present. This will help make the film opening appear closer to the environment the audience live in which helps to make the narrative more realistic. We could use our own phones for this piece as they cost too much to buy.
An important prop we will need for the narrative to make sense is a brief case as it will contain what Pete needs to deliver to Sebastian. It will be used in most of the shots that include Pete as we follow his journey to meet Sebastian. We will use it for purposes of drawing in an audience because they won't find out what is in it until the end of the film opening. As our film is also going to include some comedy we are considering that the package inside the brief case isn't what Sebastian asked for as he wants a code, but he receives a Haribo or something like that. Therefore we need to consider this prop as well.
This task has helped us organise what props we need and how they will fit in with the narrative and now we need to get them and use them in the shots we take. We also wanted to use a car but we haven't be able to find someone with one that we could use and we would need another person to drive it for us. However this doesn't affect the narrative too much so it isn't much of a problem, we just won't be able to include it.
