We have now chosen our final locations for our film opening. For our first location we chose to film on top of the market in town because we wanted to begin our film opening with an establishing shot of the area as most action films start in this sort of way. It gave us a lot of space to work in and gave the appearance of an action film.
We also chose to film in central park because we wanted a bigger space to film in as this location would include the shots of us following the protagonist to meet another character. The type of environment makes the film opening look more realistic as well as it is in a public place.
Our final location is in Great Leigh's in a tunnel. We decided to use this location in our film opening because the area is quite enclosed and isolated which helps to build up tension because Pete is meeting someone dangerous on his own, putting himself at risk as there is no one else around if he gets into trouble. To make it scarier we will probably film at night in this location to add more tension to this moment in the film opening.
Now that we have decided our locations we are now prepared for where we are filming and how the locations will suit the narrative. It will probably take us about two days to film as these locations are quite far apart from each other so we would spend one day in town filming at the car park and central park and then another day when its dark at the tunnel in Great Leigh's.
