Our Target Audience

The reason why we chose our audience to be like this is because we want out film to be a mainstream film, therefore creating a bigger audience for us to target our film at. We are including 3 genres and the main genre being action. The two remaining include crime and comedy. We chose these genres because we found from our audience research survey that these genres were very popular through a wide variety of different people. So this would connote that these genres would best suit a mainstream audience.

We are implementing the 'Hypodermic Needle Theory' into our film as it could influence our audience to want to go there and we are a mainstream film company therefore it would influence a bigger range of people rather than a specific group of people.

This can help us when creating our film because it can guide us into how we create the scenes for our audience. By creating a mainstream film to a mainstream audience, we can create something that everybody likes by using ideas from other film openings that are mainstream. It can also help us with regards to the structure of our film as our audience is targeted at 12 year old teenagers and above, therefore we would have to limit the violence and swearing to fit the correct certification.
