Our Film Title Running Order

For our film opening we need to organise our title running order as it is an important aspect for it. From previous research I have noticed that most film openings have a title running order beginning with institutions, cast, crew and then the film title. This is generally shown in most film openings I have seen except from where the title of the film is placed because in some film openings I have seen its been placed near the beginning of the clip as well. An example of a film opening that shows their film title at the end is Fast and Furious 7 which I think works really well as it presents the film opening as a whole, and the audience can tell when the film opening is over. An example of a film opening that shows their film title near the beginning is Skyfall which I think works well for the film opening but I think it is a lot harder to make the title fit as you would have to show it on the screen of the footage and not on a black screen.

If we were to do it on a black screen we could do something similar to the Divergent film opening where the whole beginning is shown on a black screen until after the title where the shots are shown.

To conclude, we have decided to have the film title near the beginning as this is what most film openings do, however we may change it if it doesn't world well with the film opening. We collected information of title ideas from the film opening for Fast and Furious 7 as they have a lot of titles and we needed some ideas of what to include. By doing this task we now have an idea of what titles we could use and a brief order to put them in.
